Nursing Career Opportunities
Career opportunities in nursing are only expected to increase. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, opportunities in this field are “expected to grow by 22 percent from 2008 to 2018, much faster than the average for all occupations.”
Becoming a registered nurse will get you on the path to an exciting, growing, and stable career! Once you’ve started, you may decide to get more education in order to become a nurse anesthetist, nurse practitioner, a nurse educator, etc.
At LMU we have the paths to get you where you want to go! We offer an Associates of Science in Nursing (ASN) and a Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN). At the end of each of these programs, if eligible, you will sit for the NCLEX-RN exam to obtain your RN licensure.
Maybe you’ve already obtained your ASN and have decided to get a BSN. We have that path waiting for you as well!
In our Masters of Science in Nursing program, we currently have three concentrations available: Nurse Anesthetist, Family Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, and Family Nurse Practitioner. As nursing continues to grow, we also hope to grow by adding more concentrations in the near future.
