LMU's MBA program is designed to assist young professionals achieve their career objectives. An MBA degree is becoming an increasingly beneficial asset for professionals in today’s competitive employment market. LMU’s MBA program begins with specific core coursework that builds the foundation for you to understand and then apply the principles of accounting, finance, economics, information technology, management, marketing and business ethics within today’s contemporary global business environment. You will then have the opportunity to select from electives which can lead to a specific concentration area, or a general business degree.

You will enjoy and benefit from LMU’s small class sizes, knowledge and experience of the faculty, and the curriculum which emphasizes case studies, group work, presentations, and special projects. You will have access to a faculty advisor the entire time you are in the program.

Program Highlights


LMU’s MBA program is primarily a part time program, which allows young professionals to continue working while also obtaining their degree. However, an individual wishing to take 9 hours in the fall and spring semesters and some work in the summer sessions can complete the degree in 2 years.

The faculty in the MBA program combines extensive academic preparation, professional experience, and a student-centered approach. The result is an open and interactive learning environment. Students are encouraged to select the Business Research Project as one elective in their particular are of interest. This elective allows you to select a particular issue in your workplace or simply an issue of interest, and use the knowledge you have gained to address the problem and develop recommendations. Faculty members provide support and guidance at every stage in the process.

Program Course Information


LMU's Master of Business Administration degree is a 36 semester-hour program intended for professionals and recent graduates with exceptional academic backgrounds. Students may transfer a maximum of nine (9) credit hours toward degree requirements.

The program consists of 24 hours of core requirements and a 12 hour concentration in Finance, Marketing, General Business, Management and Human Resources Management.. LMU’s MBA program is also designed to provide you with the educational requirements enabling you to teach finance or marketing at the undergraduate level. The requirement is 18 hours in a specific discipline. So for example, taking the Financial Management core class, completing four required electives and then selecting the International Finance course as the International requirement, results in 18 hours of finance coursework.
