Message from the President

I am delighted you are visiting our website.  There is a wealth of information available here.  Lincoln Memorial University is indeed a unique institution.  It exists today because President Abraham Lincoln envisioned a school to serve the people of this distinctive region.  We are an academic community committed to the success of every student who chooses to learn with us.  The years ahead will challenge every institution of higher education to be creative and provide opportunities for learning that reflect the ever changing environment created by the infusion of technology in our daily lives.

At our core we are a University that provides pathways to career opportunities built upon a foundation of the liberal arts.  This fine institution has expanded in recent years to provide many professional programs.  We are growing rapidly as a result of this effort to provide relevant academic offerings.   To insure the quality of our ever- growing curriculum we are committed to full accreditation of each new degree added.   The reputation of LMU is directly tied to the success of our graduates who leave here prepared to be leaders and accept the challenge of bringing honor to their alma mater and in the process uphold the highest standards of character reflected in the life of our namesake.

It is exciting to be a part of this academic community just now.  The unprecedented growth has provided opportunities to attract highly qualified faculty and staff members who share our belief that education holds the greatest promise for a brighter tomorrow.  Alumni and friends of LMU continue to invest in our mission and allow the University to expand campus facilities keeping abreast of the rapid paced growth.  As you journey through our website you must know that we are pleased to share our many successes.  Each individual associated with LMU joins with me now in saying welcome,  we are glad you have an interest in our learning community.  Please feel free to contact anyone here who can be helpful or assist you in any way as you learn more about Lincoln Memorial University.
