The Jean Ritchie Fellowship recognizes applicants from the following counties as eligible for application.
Applicants may currently live outside the designated
area as long as they address their ties to the region in
their letter of application. This map and list of counties is based, in part, on the geographic areas delineated by the Appalachian Regional Commission.
