What Is WebAdvisor?

WebAdvisor is a web-based information management tool that allows students, staff and faculty to access Lincoln Memorial University's administrative database. Information available through WebAdvisor includes Student Profile, Class Schedule, Grades, Student Account and Financial Aid.

What Is Required To Use WebAdvisor?

You need an active internet connection, a web browser, and your WebAdvisor User Name and Password.

Supported PC Internet Browsers: Internet Explorer 8 or 9. Mac Users: Safari 4 or Firefox 3.6.

NOTE: Safari 5 or Chrome 5 will not properly process forms with date field submission. WebAdvisor is best viewed in 1024x768 screen resolution.

Cookie support is required for WebAdvisor to operate correctly. WebAdvisor puts a session cookie on your desktop when you log into the system. When you close your browser, the cookie is erased.

What Is My WebAdvisor User Name?

Your WebAdvisor user name is normally your first name followed by your last name, separated by a period (.)

John Doe would have the user name john.doe. If more than one user has the same name, their user name will have a number added to the end.

To look up your user name, go to WebAdvisor and select the option What's My User ID?.

Enter a Last Name (* required) and then provide your SSN (Social Security Number) or University ID

Once you have entered everything in, click Submit.

Your user ID (user name) will be displayed. If you know your password click Log In. If you do not know your password select Main Menu to return to the home page to retrieve your password.

What Is My WebAdvisor Password? How Do I Change It?

The first time you log in you are asked to change this password from your temporary password.

For any users created after September 9th, 2011, the temporary password is now set to the first letter of your last name followed by your 6-digit date birth date. Ex., If Jane Doe was born on January 5th, 1985 the password would be d010585.

For users created before September 9th, 2011, the temporary password is initially set to your 6-digit birth date. Ex., If Jane Doe was born on January 5th, 1985 the password would be 010585.

If we do not have your birth date on file, it is a randomly generated pin that was created in the absence of one. To find out what this is, or if you wish to call and provide your birth date, please call the helpdesk at 423.869.7411 and we will attempt to resolve it for you.

I'm seeing WebAdvisor Server Is Down. Please Try Again Later

WebAdvisor is regularly taken off-line after hours for maintenance. This occurs every day from 12:00 AM - 5:00 AM EST.

During these times, users who try to log into WebAdvisor will receive a message stating that the WebAdvisor server is down or not available.

I'm seeing Username Not Found In Registry

If you are receiving this message, either your user name was entered incorrectly or you do not have a WebAdvisor account set up at this time.

Read the section above What Is My WebAdvisor User Name? and try logging in again.

I'm Seeing You Have No Faculty Activity On Record

Only faculty members are permitted to access items on the faculty menu.

Why Has My WebAdvisor Account Been Disabled?

You are allowed three log in attempts. After the third failed attempt your account is temporarily disabled. Wait 15 minutes to attempt to login again. In the event that you are still not able to get in, please contact the Help Desk to help you with the issue.
