About LMU College of Veterinary and Comparative Medicine

Accreditation

The LMU-CVCM is currently seeking a Letter of Reasonable Assurance from the American Veterinary Medical Association Council on Education (AVMA COE). Reasonable Assurance is the classification granted to an institution seeking initial accreditation. A letter may be granted to an educational institution indicating that there is reasonable assurance of future accreditation of a developing college of veterinary medicine in the US or Canada, if such a college is established according to plans presented to the Council, and if these plans demonstrate intent and a realistic plan to comply with the Standards of Accreditation. The LMU-CVCM recently submitted a Self-Study Report to the AVMA COE.  The Self-Study Report serves as the principal element of evidence that the CVCM and resources of the CVCM comply with the Standards of Accreditation. The AVMA COE will conduct a Comprehensive Site Visit of the emerging LMU-CVCM on January 26-30, 2013.
