DAWN
SKELCHER
Dawn enters returns for her
fourth season as the
assistant coach. Prior to that she spent two seasons as a Lady Railsplitter,
averaging 3.8 points and 1.9 rebounds a game.
Dawn came to LMU after two seasons at John A. Logan (IL) Community College, where she helped lead the Lady Vols to an appearance in the NJCAA National Tournament. At Logan, she averaged 5.2 points and 2.9 rebounds per game and shot 34 percent from three-point range.
A native of Carterville, IL, Dawn attended Carterville High where she earned several honors during her prep career, including All-Black Diamond Conference.
A 2003 graduate of LMU, Dawn earned a degree in Athletic Training and brings that knowledge and experience to the sidelines in addition to her regular coaching duties. Last season she introduced new conditioning techniques to the coaching staff’s repertoire. Skelcher also handles film exchange and other coaching duties.
She currently resides in Harrogate.
