Play For Lincoln Memorial
Lincoln
Memorial University women’s Head Basketball Coach Larry Just announced this week
the signing of another player for the 2007-08 season. Bonnie DeBusk, a
5’10” product of nearby Claiborne High School will play next season for the Lady
Railsplitters.

Job
When LMU women’s
basketball coach Roger Vannoy announced plans for retirement from coaching in
late January, University officials knew it would take someone with a proven
background in college basketball to step in and continue the program’s success.
Over the past 25 years, Vannoy’s accomplishments include an NCAA Division II
National Tournament appearance, five NAIA District 24 championships, seven
conference championships and an overall record of 463 wins and 246 losses.

To An End With Loss At Wingate
Wednesday’s night’s 91-54 loss to Wingate University in the
Quarterfinals of the Women’s South Atlantic Conference Tournament not
only ended the Lady Railsplitter basketball team’s season at 14-15, it
also brought to an end a rein of coaching that is unequaled in Lincoln
Memorial University athletics history.

Basketball Teams Set to Tip-off 2005-06 Basketball Season
The Lincoln Memorial University men’s and women’s basketball teams both
play their season-openers tonight on the road. The LMU men travel to
Mars Hill, North Carolina where they will take on the Mountain Lions of
Mars Hill College. The Lady Railsplitters travel to Banner Elk, North
Carolina for a date with Lees McRae College.
