Win Over Mars Hill Snaps Four Game Losing Streak for Lady Railsplitter Volleyball Team
The night was to belong to the Lady Railsplitters from the opening serve of the match Wednesday evening as Lincoln Memorial pounded out 30-18, 30-22 and 30-20 wins over Mars Hill College to shed a four-game losing streak. (Box score)

Carson-Newman Avenges September Loss to LMU
Tuesday night’s 3-1 loss to the Lady Eagle volleyball team was an uphill battle for the Lady Railsplitters who have now lost six of their last seven matches.  Carson-Newman got some payback for the 3-0 loss LMU handed them on September 12 in Jefferson City by winning 31-29 and 30-28, losing 30-23 and winning 35-33 in the final game. Hess & McCulley Earn All-Tournament Team Honors
Lincoln Memorial University volleyball players Alison Hess (Dayton, OH) and Blythe McCulley (Springfield, IL) were recently named to the All-Tournament Team of the Coca-Cola Volleyball Classic, hosted by the University of Montevallo in Montevallo, Alabama.

LMU Outlasts Tusculum In Five-Game Thriller
Alison Hess recorded a double-double with 12 kills and a match-high 14 blocks to lead Lincoln Memorial University to a 3-2 victory over host Tusculum College Thursday night in college volleyball action at Pioneer Arena.  The Lady Railsplitters (16-4) won the match by scores of 30-26, 25-30, 28-30, 30-25, 15-12.  Tusculum drops its record to 16-7 on the season.

Lincoln Memorial’s Lady Railsplitter volleyball team picked up its fifteenth win of the year Tuesday night with a 3-0 win over visiting Lander University of the Peach Belt Athletic Conference. (Box score)

Mars Hill Volleyball Loses to Lincoln Memorial in Five Games
The Lions volleyball squad lost a closely fought battle to Lincoln Memorial University tonight in Stanford Arena in five games. Scores of the match were 23-30, 31-29, 28-30, 30-23 and 15-12. MHC fell to 6-11 on the season while the Railsplitters improved to 13-4.

Powers finishes off big day with 21 kills as Volleyball sweeps LMU
Sophomore Melissa Powers (Bennett, NC) delivered 21 kills and five blocks as Catawba defeated visiting Lincoln Memorial in three games in volleyball action on Saturday night at Goodman Gym. Catawba improves to 7-8 overall, winning by the scores of 30-27, 30-28 and 31-29. Lincoln Memorial falls to 12-4.

LMU Sweeps Opponents in Volleyball Tri-match
The Lincoln Memorial University Lady Railsplitter volleyball team improved to 8-3 on the year by defeating Kentucky Wesleyan College (3-0) and Kentucky State University (3-0) on Saturday in a tri-match held in the Mary E. Mars Gymnasium.

Lenoir-Rhyne Volleyball Sweeps Lincoln Memorial, 3-0
The Lenoir-Rhyne College Volleyball Team swept Lincoln Memorial (30-25, 30-23 and 30-18)  Wednesday at Shuford Memorial Gymnasium.  L-R has now won four straight and improved to 7-3 on the season while Lincoln Memorial fell to 6-3.

LMU Volleyball Drops First Two Matches Of The Season
The Golden Suns of Arkansas Tech proved to be too much for the Lady Railsplitters in Saturday’s first match in day-two of the Tusculum College Volleyball Classic.  ATU ended LMU’s hope of winning the championship in the semi-finals by coming away with a 3-1 victory over the Lady Railsplitters.

LMU Volleyball Defeats OVU & UC to Remain Unbeaten
Lincoln Memorial’s volleyball team knocked off Ohio Valley University in straight games 3-0 and won a close battle with the University of the Cumberlands 3-1 on Saturday to complete a perfect 4-0 sweep of this weekend’s competition in the LMU Invitational Tournament.

Lady Splitters Sweep First Day of LMU Invitational
Despite a one game setback against Union College in the nightcap of Friday’s opening round of the LMU Invitational Volleyball Tournament, the Lincoln Memorial University Lady Railsplitters opened the 2006 season with two consecutive wins over Davis & Elkins College and Union College to improve to 2-0 on the year.

Nationally Ranked UNA Proves Too Much For Lady Railsplitters
The Lady Lions of the University of North Alabama showed the Lincoln Memorial volleyball team what it takes to play at the next level Friday evening.  Not having one of their better nights, UNA (28-1), still managed to dispose of the Lady Railsplitters in three games 30-17, 30-23 and 32-30 to hand LMU it’s eleventh loss of the season.

LMU Volleyball Team Gets Road Split to Keep GSC Tourney Hopes Alive
Following Saturday’s 3-2 loss to the University of West Florida in Pensacola, the Lady Railsplitters bounced back Sunday to defeat Valdosta State University 3-2 on their home floor to push their record to 20-10 overall and 5-5 in Gulf South Conference play.

Lincoln Memorial University volleyball player Allison Holstein has been named to the Coca Cola Classic All-Tournament Team for her efforts in the Lady Railsplitters matches played Friday and Saturday in the tournament hosted by the University of Montevallo in Montevallo, Alabama.

The Lincoln Memorial University Lady Railsplitter volleyball team came out swinging on the opening day of the 2005 season.  The LMU women rolled over Montreat College and Glenville State College 3-0 in first round action of the LMU Invitational Volleyball Tournament to improve to 2-0 on the year.
