Tennessee Triumphs In Sloppy
Game Against LMU 5-4
Tennessee and Lincoln Memorial matched one another hit for hit - and error for
error - Wednesday night, but the Volunteers baseball team managed to post a 5-4
victory over the Railsplitters at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. Both teams collected
nine hits and committed three errors.

Thursday evening, Lincoln Memorial junior outfielder
TeWayne Willis (Hazard, KY)
tied a school record that has stood for 10 years. In the bottom of the
fifth inning in the Railsplitters 11-0 win over Brevard, Willis stole
his 39th base of the season, thus tying former Railsplitter
Chris Kline’s mark set back in 1997.

Railsplitters On Track For Big Regular Season Finish
The Lincoln Memorial University baseball team swept a double-header from
visiting Brevard College 2-1 and 11-0 Thursday evening to move to 29-18 on the
year. The wins also give the Railsplitters one more win than they finished the
2006 season with a year ago when they were 28-25.

Loss To Newberry In Continuation Game May
Have Knocked Railsplitters Out Of Upcoming Conference Tournament
The weekend got started Friday evening with anything but ideal conditions for a
baseball series. Cold temperatures and snow-filled skies Friday evening forced
Lincoln Memorial and Newberry College to suspend game-one of what was to have
been a three-game series between the two schools until Saturday.

LMU
Mars Hill defeated Lincoln Memorial University Sunday afternoon at Henderson
Field 10-5 after a 90-minute rain delay. The Lions are now 15-28 overall and
6-14 in the SAC. LMU fell to 25-17 overall and 6-11 in the league.

Railsplitters Split With Mars Hill
The Mars Hill Lions split a double-header with Lincoln Memorial University
Saturday afternoon at Henderson Field. LMU won the first contest, 12-8 and then
MHC took game two, 10-7. The Lions are now 14-28 overall and 5-14 in the SAC.
LMU took their season record to 25-16 overall and 6-10 in the league.

The Lincoln Memorial University Railsplitter baseball team improved to 24-15
Tuesday afternoon by sweeping the Mountaineers of Berea College in a
double-header 14-4 and 8-4.

Indians Win Game Three To Sweep
Railsplitters
Sunday afternoon, the
Indians of Catawba College became the first South Atlantic Conference team this
season to sweep the Lincoln Memorial University Railsplitters this season in a
three-game series. After winning games one and two on Saturday 19-10 and 14-12,
the Indians of Catawba pulled a rabbit out of their hat again on Sunday to come
from behind and win game three in extra innings 11-7.

Catawba Pounds Out Two Wins Against Lincoln Memorial
The Catawba College Indians gave the Railsplitters a case of aluminum poisoning
in Saturday’s South Atlantic Conference double-header sweep of Lincoln
Memorial. The Indians came away with a 19-10 win in the afternoon’s first game
while coming from behind to win the nightcap 14-12.

Caldwell College put together a devastating second inning to overwhelm the
Railsplitters and eventually come away with a 15-2 on win on Sunday afternoon.

The Lincoln Memorial University baseball team completed a four-game
sweep of Bloomsburg University on Saturday. The Railsplitters picked up
9-8 and 5-3 wins over the Huskies on Friday and ended the series with a

Conference Tournament but in the end it wasn’t meant to be, as the #10

Railsplitters' hope in Sunday’s final game of the series.
