than two weeks after learning that LMU women’s basketball coach Larry Just would
leave the program after only one season, Lincoln Memorial University Athletics
Director Roger Vannoy officially
announced Stephanie Smith as the
program’s new head coach at a press conference on Thursday morning.

Larry Just has decided to make the trip home so to speak. On Friday
morning, University athletics officials made public the announcement that Just,
a Louisville, Kentucky native will be leaving the Lady Railsplitter program to
take over the helm of the Oldham County High School girl’s basketball position.

Lady Railsplitters In Final Minute
Mars Hill College defeated the visiting Railsplitters of Lincoln Memorial
University 62-58 Wednesday night in Stanford Arena. MHC improved to 13-9
overall and 4-6 in the SAC. LMU fell to 11-11 on the season and 2-8 in the

For the second time in less than a month, the Brevard College women's
basketball team took the Lady Railsplitters of Lincoln Memorial University

Lady Railsplitters Blow 18-Point Lead But
Defeat Brevard In Overtime 79-72
With 14:26 to go in Saturday night’s game with Brevard College, it looked as
though the Lady Railsplitters were going to silence the Tornados and capture
their seventh win of the season when they opened up an 18 point lead midway
through the second half. However, the Brevard women came roaring back in the
late minutes of the game and erased the LMU lead to take the upper hand 58-57
