OFFICE OF SPORTS INFORMATION Sports Release April 18, 2008 LMU’s Rollet & Rezic Earn All-SAC Honors
HARROGATE, TN – Lincoln Memorial University women’s tennis players Kathleen Rollet (Bougé Chambalud, France) and Martina Rezic (Pula, Croatia) have been named to the All-South Atlantic Conference First & Second Teams. Rollet, a four-year letter-winner for Lincoln Memorial University, Rollet was named SAC Player of the Week three times this season and earned First Team All-South Atlantic Conference while also being named Co-Player of the Year along with Carson-Newman’s Amanda Barlett. Throughout the 2007-08 season, Rollet has accumulated a record of 14-2, including 12 consecutive victories entering Friday’s South Atlantic Conference Semi-Final match with Carson-Newman College. Rezic, a three-year letter-winner and a four-year member of the LMU women’s tennis program was named Second Team All-South Atlantic Conference. Throughout the 2007-08 season, Rezic has accumulated an 8-6 overall record, including a 4-3 record against conference opponents. The Lady Railsplitters won their opening match of the South Atlantic Conference Tournament against Wingate University on Monday 5-4. The No. 4 seed Lady Railsplitters will take on No. 1 see Carson-Newman College at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. -LMU- For additional
