OFFICE OF SPORTS INFORMATION Sports Release April 18, 2008 LMU's Hannes Ganss Named All-SAC First Team
A 6’6” product of Erlangen, Germany, Ganss has been huge impact on the Railsplitter program in only his first season of collegiate men’s tennis. Throughout the 2007-08 season, Ganss has accumulated a perfect 13-0 singles record with one match unfinished. In doubles play, Ganss and LMU teammates Bastian Guenther (Erlangen, Germany) and Zack Jones (Murfreesboro, TN) have tallied a 12-2 record. On Friday afternoon, Ganss will lead the Railsplitters in their South Atlantic Conference Tournament Semi-Final bout with Newberry College at 3:00 p.m. in Rock Hill, South Carolina. If the Railsplitters win the match against the Indians, they will play the winner of the Tusculum verses Carson-Newman match on Saturday in the conference tournament finals. -LMU- For additional
