LMU Tennis Splits With Newberry
HARROGATE, TN –
The Lincoln Memorial
University men’s and women’s tennis teams traveled to Newberry, South
Carolina on Monday and split with the Indians in South Atlantic Conference
tennis action.
The
Lady Railsplitters won their match with Newberry to move to 3-3 overall and
2-0 in the South Atlantic Conference. Lincoln Memorial’s women won by a
final match score of 7-2, picking up wins in #1, #5 and #6 singles play and
taking victories in #1 and #3 doubles.

The Railsplitters got solid performances in the #1 and #2 singles positions
and in the #1 doubles match, but couldn’t get over the hump in the remainder
of their matches and fell to the Indians 3-6. The loss drops the
Railsplitters to 0-3 on the season.
