Lady Railsplitters Remain Unbeaten After First Day of Tusculum College Volleyball Classic

GREENEVILLE, TN – The Lincoln Memorial University volleyball team remained among the ranks of the unbeaten following Friday’s double-header in the first day of the Tusculum College Volleyball Classic.

The Lady Railsplitters opened the afternoon against Brevard College and came away with a 3-0 win.  LMU upended Brevard 30-19, 30-13, 30-23 to advance to the second game of the classic with an overall record of 5-0.

In the final match of the day, the LMU women again rolled to a nearly flawless victory by defeating Concord College in three games, 30-19, 30-14, and 30-12 to enter Saturday’s action against former Gulf South Conference foe Arkansas Tech with a perfect 6-0 mark.

Lincoln Memorial will take on the Golden Suns at 10:00 a.m. Saturday with a yet to be determined opponent on the slate later in the afternoon.  The Lady Railsplitters won’t play at home again until September 9, when they host Kentucky Wesleyan and Kentucky State in a tri-match.
