Henn Named South Atlantic Conference Softball Player Of The Week

HARROGATE, TN – Lincoln Memorial University pitcher/third baseman Sara Henn has been named South Atlantic Conference softball Player of the Week by the sports information directors throughout the conference.

A 5’7’ sophomore from Kettering, Ohio, Henn helped the Lady Railsplitters finish go 2-2 in conference play last week while hitting a remarkable .583 at the plate and going 7-for-12 at the plate with three homeruns.  Two of Henn’s homeruns came in the Lady Railsplitter’s 7-2 victory over Mars Hill College on Wednesday. 

The LMU women currently occupy fourth place in the South Atlantic Conference race entering the final full week of regular season league play.  The Lady Railsplitters are 28-13 overall and 6-6 in the South Atlantic Conference while Henn is currently batting .496 for the season, the highest single-season average in LMU’s 27-year history of softball.
