2008 Softball Season Set To Open

HARROGATE, TN – Coming off four straight 30+ win seasons and losing four outstanding seniors from the 2007 club, the Lady Railsplitters know that they have their hands full this year.  With the loss of a couple of players between semesters, this year's team has been nicknamed the "dirty dozen."  These twelve talented and eager players will take on a 50-game schedule highlighted by games against three top-25 teams beginning with the #2 team Lock Haven (PA) and the #21 Kutztown (PA) in the Catawba Invitational Tournament February 29-March 2.

LMU opens their season Saturday, February 2 at Erskine College in Due West, SC, and will travel to Anderson College in Anderson, SC, on February 3.

The first home game of the season is scheduled for Saturday, February 16 against #23 Georgia College and State University at 2 p.m. on the Dorothy Neely Field.
