Adams To Play Softball At Lincoln Memorial

HARROGATE, TN – The Lincoln Memorial University softball team recently announced another addition to the squad for the 2007-08 season.  Jackie Adams, a 5’2” outfielder from Columbus, Ohio will play next year for the Lady Railsplitters.

A product of St. Francis DeSales High School in Columbus, Adams will help to replace All-American Brittney Walker (Ooltewah, TN), Gina Grace (Placerville, CA) and Cassey Schutte (Springfield, OH) who all spent time in the outfield before completing their eligibility this spring.  “Jackie has great speed,” says LMU Head Coach Dan Burns.  “She also has an outstanding arm and will see a lot of time in the outfield for us.  We are pleased to have her sign with our program.”

Adams will pursue a degree in education while attending Lincoln Memorial University.  She will join a Lady Railsplitter squad that finished the 2007 season with a record of 37-18-1 and lost four seniors.  When the 2008 spring season begins, the Lady Splitters will be competing in their first season of eligibility for South Atlantic Conference play in softball.
