Walker Among GSC’s Elite Pitchers

HARROGATE, TN – Lincoln Memorial University softball pitcher Brittney Walker (Chattanooga, TN) has been named Gulf South Conference Eastern Division Pitcher of the Week by the conference office in Birmingham, Alabama.

Last week the 5’7” junior helped the Lady Railsplitters finish the week with a 5-0 record with three of the wins going to Walker.  The All-GSC performer went 3-0 in the circle last week with a 0.33 ERA, pitching three complete games, allowing only 13 hits, one run, one earned run, one walk and recording 28 strikeouts. 

This week’s honor marks the first time this season Walker has received conference player of the week recognition this year and the third consecutive season she has been named as a GSC player or pitch of the week.
