Lady Lions Sweep LMU in Softball

FLORENCE, AL – Playing in their first Gulf South Conference series of the year, the Lincoln Memorial University softball team was swept by the University of North Alabama over the weekend, losing four games to fall to 0-4 in conference.

The Lady Railsplitters were defeated 2-0 and 6-3 on Saturday, while falling 11-8 and 5-0 on Sunday in the first meeting of two GSC opponents set to take place on their spring break road swing.

Now 18-12 on the year, the Lady Railsplitters will take on the University of West Florida in Pensacola, Florida on Tuesday and Wednesday to finish out their road trip before returning home to play host to Valdosta State University this weekend in their conference home opener.
