HARROGATE, TN -- Lincoln Memorial University Women's Soccer Coach Helio D'Anna is beginning to shape the roster for the 2008 season.  The first two  players announced give a good idea of what is to come.  Sarah Taylor and Kendra Bianchi of Ajax, Ontario have chosen Lincoln Memorial University to play their collegiate careers.

A 5'5" left midfielder and striker, Taylor played for Ajax Titans soccer club as well as for Ajax High School.  She was the top scorer on her team all four seasons and received several awards including MVP and Female Athlete of the Year. According to her club coach Alex Bianchi, "Sarah is a very fast outside player with a good cross to the net and a natural left foot."  The daughter of Brian and Sandy Taylor, Sarah is also an honor student and will pursue in physical education and kinesiology at LMU.  "I am thrilled to add Sarah to the roster,” said LMU Head Coach Helio D’Anna.  "She will be great as a left wing player and will fit right in for our needs.  I can't wait to see her on the field."

Bianchi was Taylor's Ajax club teammate and will continue being so at LMU.  A 5'7" goalkeeper, Bianchi also has played for Pickering High School.  In 2006 and 2007, she had 14 shutouts and a record of 30-6-4.  A strong keeper with a powerful kick, Bianchi will pursue fine arts at LMU.  She is the daughter of Alex and Debbie Bianchi.  "Kendra is super-strong and has great hands,” says D'Anna.  "Our goal keeping situation next year will be incredible.  We are deep and that will push the keepers to work hard to earn their playing time."

The Lady Railsplitters finished 2007 with a record of 15-5-1 and took their third trip to the NCAA National Tournament in 4 years.
