Railsplitters Dominate Preseason All-South Atlantic Conference Teams

HARROGATE, TN – Lincoln Memorial University’s men’s cross country team placed four of it’s nine members on the 2007 Preseason All-South Atlantic Conference Team release yesterday by the conference office in Rock Hill, South Carolina.

Earning Preseason All-SAC First Team honors were Ted Johnson (Winneconne, WI), Jeremy Donahue (Sevierville, TN) and Mark Paulson (Neenah, WI).  Following last season, Johnson earned All-SAC First Team honors, while Donahue and Paulson were named second team for their efforts during the 2006 campaign.  As a team the Railsplitters finished third at the SAC Championship that was held in Black Mountain, North Carolina.

Named Preseason All-South Atlantic Conference Second Team was LMU’s Josh Armentrout (Jonesborough, TN).  Combined with the remainder of the Railsplitter squad, Lincoln Memorial should be one of the favorites to win the South Atlantic Conference this season.

This weekend the Railsplitters travel to Cleveland, Tennessee to open the 2007 schedule when they participate in the Lee Invitational hosted by Lee University.  LMU’s only home meet of the year will be on October 13 when the LMU hosts the Railsplitter 5K on homecoming weekend.
