OFFICE OF SPORTS INFORMATION Sports Release February 28, 2007 Railsplitters Sweep CrusaudersTIGERVILLE, SC - Lincoln Memorial university swept an afternoon doubleheader at North Greenville University Wednesday at Ashmore Field. The Railsplitters took the first game 9-1 and the second game 5-2. North Greenville falls to 6-12 on the season, while LMU improves to 15-4. GAME ONE Derek Treece led LMU with four RBI, including a three-run homer in the sixth inning. Dustin Rowland went 3 for 4 with one RBI for the Railsplitters. LMU scored four runs in the first inning, one in the fifth, and four in the sixth. North Greenville's only run came on a Tyler Callicutt sacrifce fly in the sixth inning to score Matt Britt. Britt and Callicut led NGU with two hits each. GAME TWO Storm Kaufman led LMU, going 2 for 3 with two RBI. Bryon Izzo also added two RBI. Mike Reis and Dylan Davidson each had two hits and an RBI to lead NGU. Lincoln Memorial scored runs in the third, fourth, and fifth innings, while North Greenville scored in the third and fourth innings. -LMU- For additional
