THE LMU-BRAZIL CONNECTION |
|
The Lincoln Memorial University Soccer teams plays the Brazilian style, which is a reflection of Coach Helio D'Anna's background. The teams have a strong connection with Brazil. Once every four years as allowed by the NCAA, the Railsplitters and Lady Railsplitters will travel to Brazil to have their pre-season training there. The teams will have a chance to play local teams, do site-seeing, and learn about the local culture. It will be a great experience. The goal is to take the teams to the city of Sorocaba (Sao Paulo State), which is close to the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. The most recent visit was in the summer of 2004. |
