LANCE EGNATZ
Coach Egnatz comes to Lincoln
Memorial from Polk Community College in Winter Haven, Florida. Egnatz
served as assistant coach from 2006 to 2008 during which time Polk was 24-6
and ranked 4th in the state from 2007 to 2008. While at Polk
Community College, Egnatz coached numerous eventual NCAA Division I and
Division II players, working primarily with post players.
Egnatz has also
worked numerous basketball camps, including the University of North Carolina
and Lynn University as well as several private camps which include
All-American Basketball School, Metro Index, Drill for Skill and the
prestigious Five Star Basketball Camp.
Before beginning his
collegiate career as a coach, Egnatz was Head Boys Basketball Coach at
Somerset Academy in Pembroke Pines, Florida from 2005 to 2006. He became
head coach after serving a year as assistant coach for Somerset Academy
during the 2004-05 season.
A native of
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Egnatz played his prep career at Seneca Valley
High School where he graduated in 1997. Following graduation, he attended
Pennsylvania State University-Beaver Campus from 1997 to 1999 before moving
to Boca Raton, Florida where he attended Lynn University from 1999 to 2002
and received a degree in Sports and Recreational Management. Egnatz played
both basketball and baseball at PSUB and LU.
Entering his first
season as assistant coach for the Railsplitters, Coach Egnatz will be
primarily involved with recruiting, individual workouts and team practice,
but will also be involved with all other aspects of the game.
Egnatz is married to
the former Juliette Schohn from Paris, France.
CHRIS COTTRELL
Coach Cottrell comes to Lincoln Memorial University from High Point
University where he served as student assistant for four season and as a
graduate assistant for one. While helping out with the High Point
basketball program, Cottrell earned a bachelors degree in history.
While with the
Panther
program, Cottrell was responsible for overseeing the managers, film
exchange, on campus recruiting, scouting, practice preparation and on court
coaching. At LMU he will assist in all of these areas as well as helping to
organize and operate the program’s summer camps.
Cottrell is a native
of upstate New York where he attended Queensbury High School where he played
basketball and graduated in 2003. He is single and now resides in
Harrogate. |
