L.M.U. Loses To Tennessee Poly
-------------------------------

(Knoxville Journal Special)

HARROGATE, Oct. 31 -- Tennessee Polytechnic Institute's grid team easily defeated the Lincoln Memorial Railsplitters here this afternoon 27 to 0.
Midgett scored two touchdowns, while Adams and Quellen came through with the other scores. Hathaway, L.M.U. freshman, was the star of the game with his long runs. One of his runs was good for 48 yards. He is a former Elizabethton High school football player. Zeke Chambers, tackle, also played well in the Lincoln Memorial line.
Lincoln Memorial's line was considerably outweighed by the T.P.I. line. However, it fought hard all the way. Tennessee Poly had one of the best lines ever to show here. The score was 7 to 0 at the [end of] the first half.
