'SPLITTERS WIN OVER HIWASSEE
-------------------------------
Harrogate, Tenn. -- Lincoln Memorial
University's Railsplitters, holding out their first team the greater part of the
game handed the Hiwassee College eleven a 14-to-0 licking here Saturday.
Coach Alexander held out his first stringers as much as
possible, in order that they might be saved for the Sue Bennett game at London,
Kentucky, Thanksgiving.
L.M.U. had little trouble with Hiwassee, the second
stringersgaining thru the line and the first team hurling many passes..
Norris, center, and Fulkerson, end, starred in L.M.U.'s
line, with Jones playing a great game in the backfield. Carr, center, was the
star for Hiwassee.
Liebrock, star halfback for the Railsplitters is back
in tip-top shape and will be ready to go against Sue Bennett.
