UNION BEATS L.M.U. TEAM
-------------------------------

Harrogate, Tenn. -- The Lincoln Memorial University Rail Splitters lost their second straight game here Saturday when they fell before the Union (KY) College by 12 to 0.
Union used a lateral pass and fake reverse to beat the L.M.U. boys, the Kentuckians scoring in the first three minutes on a trick play. Outside of the two touchdowns the Rail Splitters had things their own way and when the half ended the ball was theirs on Union's 1-yard line.
The great punting of Patterson, of Union, was a feature of the game. Patterson's first five kicks averaged 61 yards. He was also a running star for the visitors.
Liebrock, L.M.U. star, carried the ball 13 times for a total of 111 yards and the L.M.U. team completed 18 out of 24 passes. They also made 12 first downs to Union's seven.
L.M.U. tackles the strong Tennessee Wesleyan outfit next Saturday.
