L.M.U. LOSES TO LOYOLA BY SCORE OF 76-0
--------------------------------------
New Orleans, Nov. 20. -- The Loyola
Wolfpack ate their way through the Lincoln Memorial University defense here
today for 10 touchdowns to win a marathon with a one-sided 76-0 score.
Four touchdowns were made in the first half with few of
the Loyola regulars in action. coach Reed swung several of his first string men
into play in the last half and they shoved their way across the Lincoln goal
line six times.
Touchdowns were made by forward passes, end runs,
broken field runs and straight line bucks. The ball seldom changed sides on
downs and the Wolfpack frequently hit the Lincoln line for more than the
required 10 yards on the the first play from scrimmage.
