With the score standing seven to six the two teams seesawed up and down the field for the second and third quarters. At the last when it looked as if that would be the final score, Tex Turner of the Lincoln Memorial University received a punt and ran ninety yards for a touchdown. The game stood thirteen to seven when the final whistle blew. Turner's broken field [run] was the feature of the game.
