 Alumni
Lincoln Memorial University has
been educating students since 1897. More than 700
alumni have entered medical or legal practice in
Appalachian communities. Over 3,500 have become
professional educators, serving in positions ranging
from elementary school teaching to university
presidents. Several graduates have published
widely recognized books, dramas and musical
compositions. Jesse Stuart and James Still are
among such authors; their various works have been
translated into many languages.
